about

This is a collection of lost songs. Some of them were recorded live at home, some during radio sessions, some even improvising by the river, only one of them in an actual studio. That's why sound quality may not always be as good as you would expect. However, and that's the reason why this compilation has been made, those songs trace a portrait of Oriol Stardust's music, from the beginning until the very end. Enjoy them.

1. (I've Seen a) Bicycle
Recorded in a living room in Cardedeu (Barcelona), late 2008. Originally released on "Track the Mammoth!" compilation (2013, El Mamut Traçut).

2. Brooklyn
Recorded and produced by Juan P. at K-Cleta Studios, Sant Antoni de Vilamajor (Barcelona), December 2006. Originally released on "Operació Borrego" compilation (2007, Ajuntament de Cardedeu).

3. Goodbye Little Bee
Recorded in a living room in Cardedeu (Barcelona), December 2009.

4. Dead Town (feat. Ricky Gil)
Recorded live during a "Guitarra, baix i bateria" broadcast at Ràdio Silenci studios in La Garriga (Barcelona), March 22nd 2012. Originally released on Ricky Gil's album "Hipopòtam a Botafogo vol.1" (2012).

5. Broken Doll
Recorded in Cardedeu (Barcelona), May 2006.

6. Plastic Rocket (feat. N.D. Monroe)
Recorded separately by Oriol Stardust in Barcelona and N.D. Monroe in Italy. Mixed by Oriol Stardust in Cardedeu (Barcelona), June 2008. Originally released on N.D. Monroe's album "Mu's Jam" (2008).

7. Atlantis
Recorded at Ràdio Sant Joan studios, Sant Joan de Vilatorrada (Barcelona), February 13th 2010. Remastered 2014.

8. Samantha
9. When You're Gone
Recorded in a living room in Cardedeu (Barcelona), May 2007.

10. Antifolk by the River (feat. The Missing Leech)
Recorded at Bar 25, on the banks of the river Spree in Berlin, July 24th 2010. Both Oriol Stardust and The Missing Leech were playing the Down By the River festival. Shortly after they'd finished their sets, they did an improvised performance as part of the same event. Stardust strummed some antifolk chords while Maurici Ribera (The Missing Leech) made up some lyrics in several languages. If that ain't antifolk enough for you, then you should try something from the New Age section...

All tracks previously unreleased, except where noted.
